For Parents
ABOUT
I'm a parent to a little girl, learning how to stay steady under pressure—using skills I developed competing nationally in tennis.
A Little About My Background
I'm not a parenting expert who has it all figured out. I'm a mom doing this in real time, with some tools that help me stay steadier than I used to.
My background:
Parent to a little girl
Competed nationally in tennis for years (learned to stay steady under intense pressure)
MS in Conflict Resolution, University of Oregon
State-certified Oregon Mediator
5+ years working with neurodivergent college students at Mansfield Hall
15+ years in trauma-informed work (domestic violence services, disability support, restorative justice)
Appointed Commissioner, Eugene Human Rights Commission
Lived abroad in Amman, Jordan, growing up
What this means for you:
I know how to stay steady under pressure.
I know how to repair relationships after conflict.
I understand different ways of being in the world (from years supporting neurodivergent students to living in a completely different world and culture).
And I know what it's like to be so tired you feel dizzy, but still have to show up for a little person who needs you.

You have a neurodivergent kid and need support understanding how to stay steady together
You're willing to practice (not be perfect—just practice)

The core skills—staying steady, repairing ruptures, being present—work at every age. Whether you have a baby, toddler, or school-age kid, steadiness matters. I'll offer age-specific examples throughout, and you'll learn to adapt the tools for your situation.
-
Several programs focus on your child's behavior. This one focuses on YOUR steadiness. It’s not all on you, but it definitely starts with you. You are the foundation.
-
For sure. I spent years supporting neurodivergent students and their families. We'll talk about staying steady with kids whose experience of the world is different—and how to support both your steadiness and theirs.
-
You can only work on your own steadiness. But here's what's interesting: when one parent gets steadier, the whole family system often shifts. Your steadiness matters, whether your co-parent is on board or not.
-
I understand! The sessions are 90 minutes, but the daily practices are 3-5 minutes max. This isn't about adding more to your plate. It's about building capacity that makes everything else easier.
What I'm Not Promising
I'm not promising your kid will suddenly sleep through the night or stop having tantrums.
I'm not promising you'll never yell again.
I'm not promising you'll become a zen parent who handles everything with grace (if you figure that out, please let me know)!
What I am Offering:
Tools to help you stay steadier when things get hard.
Practices to help you come back to steady faster when you lose it.
A framework for repairing the relationship after ruptures.
A small community of parents doing this work together.
